Chondroprotective agent maintaining the osmotic pressure and preserving cartilage:
– enzymatic reactions eroding the cartilage, such as collagenase and elastase, and reduced the glucosaminidase activity, which damages the constitutive association of glucosamine.
Also present in bone, skin, cornea and the pressure membrane.
– free radical damage, including nitric oxide emitted by chondrocytes.
The synergy of both substances increases the activity of hyaluronic acid present in the synovial fluid.
